Corrections-logoA guard at the Fort Dodge prison was attacked by an inmate this weekend. Iowa Department of Corrections spokesman Fred Scaletta said the attack happened Sunday night at the Dolliver Living Unit at the Fort Dodge prison. Scaletta said Vincent Dillworth assaulted a male corrections officer by kicking and punching the officer several times in the face.

Officers restrained Dillworth and placed him in a segregation cell. The unidentified guard was transported to a Fort Dodge hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Due to the attack, three living units were locked down. Dillworth is serving a ten year sentence for second degree robbery in Scott County. He sentence started in March, 2012.
