Police car lightsSix Illinois men were arrested in northeast Iowa Wednesday and face charges in connection with the robbery of a cell phone store in Waterloo.

Witnesses say two men were armed when they entered an iWireless store in Waterloo on Tuesday night. Cash and cell phones were taken. Witnesses described the get-away vehicle as a silver SUV.

Authorities spotted the SUV in Postville on Wednesday morning. It was parked at the Pines Motel which sits along Highway 18 in Postville. Authorities raided three of the motel’s rooms and three vehicles in the parking lot were towed away.

Five of the men who were taken into custody face first degree robbery charges, while authorities say the sixth man will be charged with third theft and being an accessory after the fact. The suspects range in age from 20 to 39. All are from the Chicago area.
