Iowa running back Jordan Canzeri is ready to carry the load for the Hawkeyes against Pitt if LeShun Daniels is unable to return from an ankle injury. With Daniels out the entire second of the win at Iowa State, Canzeri carried the ball 24 times for a game-high 124 yards.
“Obviously I love the rotation that me and LeShun have right now”, said Canzeri. “Akrum Wadley and Derrick Mitchell, when they go in they are going to do great, too. None of us are selfish from the aspect of who is in and who will do a great job but we are all capable of that as well.”
The Hawkeyes take a 2-0 mark into Saturday night’s contest against a Pitt squad that has posted victories over Youngstown State and Akron.
