Plane CrashOne person was killed in the crash of a small plane last night in northeast Nebraska.

The single-engine Cessna was headed for Sioux City, Iowa, but was diverted to the airport in Wayne County, Nebraska, due to bad weather, primarily fog.

The plane had reportedly taken off from Columbia, Missouri, and was due to land about 7 o’clock last night.

Reports say the wreckage of the plane was found in rural Wayne County early this morning.

Authorities say the pilot was the only person on board and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn’t been released.

Federal officials will investigate the cause of the crash.
