One person is in the hospital and another is missing after a canoe capsized in Coralville Reservoir Sunday.
Authorities say bystanders pulled one of the canoers out of the icy water on Sunday afternoon. That person, who has not been identified, was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals. The body of the other person has not been found and authorities say debris in the lake and ice is hampering the recovery effort.
Witnesses say the people in the canoe were taking pictures when it tipped over. The accident happened directly across the lake from Bobbers Bar in North Liberty. The bar is at the marina on the north end of Coralville Reservoir.
