The 17th ranked Iowa State Cyclones have dug themselves a hole early in the Big 12 race. The Cyclones fell to 1-3 in the league race with a 94-91 overtime loss at Texas.

ISU forced the extra session by rallying from 13 points down in the second half.

“I know everybody is frustrated and everybody is down but we’re gonna get there”, said Iowa State coach Steve Prohm. “I believe we are close and we are not far off.”

Isaiah Taylor led Texas with 28 points as the Longhorns connected on 13 of 31 from three point range. George Niang led Iowa State with 27 points. The Cyclones fall to 12-4 overall but Niang is confident they will get things turned around.

“Slowly but surely we are going to make it happen”, said Kiang. “I feel like were are two points away or two stops away from turning this in the other direction.”

He hopes it starts on Saturday with a visit to Kansas State.
