Northern Iowa Panthers logoOffensive struggles again doomed Northern Iowa in a 74-55 home defeat to Wichita State Wednesday night at the McLeod Center. The Panthers shot 32.7 percent from field – the second straight game they shot less than 40 percent from the floor. It was a third straight loss for the Panthers.

Wichita State got 21 points from Ron Baker and Markis McDuffie added 15 points off the bench. The Shockers shot 56.5 percent from the field. Wichita State never trailed in the game.

Wes Washpun, Matt Bohannon, and Bennett Koch each scored 14 points for the Panthers, who fell to 2-5 in the Valley and 10-10 overall. UNI will be on the road to face Illinois State Saturday.
