eggsA turkey farmer from north-central Iowa’s Hamilton County is the new chairman of the U.S. Poultry and Egg Association.

Paul Hill of Ellsworth was elected as chairman Tuesday during the International Poultry Expo in Atlanta. He previously served as vice chairman.

Hill was instrumental in the founding of West Liberty Foods, a farmer owned company in 1996. He is currently chairman of West Liberty Foods as well as president of Circle Hill Farms of Ellsworth. He is a past chairman of the National Turkey Federation. The U.S. Poultry and Egg Association is the world’s largest and most active poultry organization. Founded in 1947, the association has affiliations in 26 states and member companies worldwide.
