The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash early this morning in east-central Iowa’s Poweshiek County.
Troopers say a semi-truck was eastbound on Interstate 80 and due to road conditions, was going at a slower speed in the right lane with its flashers on.
Just after midnight near the Brooklyn exit, a box truck rear-ended the semi, according to the patrol.
The box truck’s driver was killed. He’s identified as 20-year-old Michael Miller of Cedar Rapids.
The semi driver wasn’t hurt.
