DrakeRelaysIsaiah Trousil admits he was nervous about defending his Drake Relays 100 meter title.

The junior from West Burlington/Notre Dame takes home the flag for the second straight year with a winning time of 10.64 seconds.

“There was a ton of pressure on men today”, said Trousil. “That’s probably the most nervous I have ever been with all the athletes this year putting up great times.”

Kerris Roberts had never been to the Drake Relays before today. She leaves as the girls 100 meter champion. The Waterloo East freshman edged defending champion Briyana Carter of Des Moines Roosevelt.

“It is scary coming down here”, said Roberts. It was a fun experience competing against seniors and it is fun to know I am only going to get better.”

Robert’s winning time was 11.77 seconds.
