GavelA Bettendorf Mixed Martial Arts promoter will spend time in prison after he admitted he didn’t report all of his income.

Fifty-six-year old Monte Cox was sentenced to three months in federal prison and one year of probation. He admitted he didn’t report thousands of dollars he made from his company Ultimate Productions for MMA events held from 2007 through 2010.

The amounts of income not reported ranged from a high of $405,000 in 2009 to a low of $152,000 in 2010.

As a result, he owed $370,000 in taxes. Cox has agreed to work with the IRS to repay any taxes he owes.
