Police-lights-300x180A Davenport man faces charges in connection with a police standoff last night about 9 o’clock in a north-central Davenport neighborhood.

Police responded to a shots-fired call there. They were directed to a house where a man had fired several rounds outside at an unknown target. He had then barricaded himself inside the house. Cops say they attempted contact with the man but he was armed and belligerent and would not leave the house.

Emergency response teams from the Davenport and Bettendorf police departments then surrounded the house. Officers negotiated several hours with the man but he would not leave the house. Police then put chemical agents in the house and that led to the man leaving and being apprehended.

Twenty-nine-year-old Micha Mach is charged with reckless use of a firearm, interference with official acts and carrying weapons.
