Regents-buildingThe Iowa Board of Regents voted Monday to raise tuition at the state’s three public universities.

The Regents, meeting in Cedar Falls, approved a tuition hike of at least two-percent next year for undergraduate students from Iowa who will attend either the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, or the University of Northern Iowa.

Resident undergrads could face an additional two-percent tuition increase the following year. The plan calls for another two-percent hike for the 2018-19 year, but that could be adjusted depending on how much funding state lawmakers approve for the universities this spring.
