“I was at an IBA convention 25 years ago and remember having a beer with Steve Mays and Roger Gardner. I listened as they told me about the ‘coming’ of Radio Iowa. I was excited as I really thought it was going to make KMAQ a better station, and it has! When I started at KMAQ 54 years ago, we had to rip and read UPI Iowa News with Radio Iowa we had news with audio right after it happened!
