Vilsack to host fall conference on health care

Governor Vilsack says he plans to host a fall conferenceon health care and invite every presidential candidate. Vilsack saysputting the spotlight on health care will help save money and lives. Vilsack has also proposed a series of initiatives to improve health care inIowa. He wants the state to spend nine-million dollars on Iowa’s nursinghomes to raise the pay of home workers. The plan also calls for a million dollars to help 12-thousandadditional poor children qualify for government health care. He would alsolike to begin a dental program for Iowa’s poor kids.
