Governor picks new drug czar

Governor Vilsack has picked a head for his drug-fightingteam. Bruce Upchurch is the state’s new drug czar. The Mason City native has investigated trafficking organizations all over the country andworldwide. Vilsack says he plans to hire a 13-member team to tackle the state’sgrowing methamphetamine problem. He’ll also work to increase education aboutthe dangers the drug.
