Enviromental group wants crack-down on pollution

The Mississippi River Revival group is asking state waterquality officials to crack down on polluters. The environmental group sayshalf of the 17-hundred cities and industries that discharge sewage intoIowa’s waters violated their permits last year. The group has sent “citizen enforcement notices to several Iowabusinesses. Those firms now have 60 days to end their violations or thegroup has the right to sue them under E-P-A guidelines.
