Citizen’s group says "no more prisons"

A new citizens group is calling on state lawmakers to changethe way Iowa deals with criminals. The spokesman for Citizens for Change inCriminal Justice, the Reverend Carlos Jayne, says the group does not wantIowa to build more prisons. Jayne says harsher penalties have not worked, but rehabilitation might.He’s applauding Governor Vilsack’s decision to keep Kip Kautzky asCorrections Director. Jayne’s group is made up of several church groups and theN-double-A-C-P.
