Iowa should benefit from the US Supreme Court’s decision tokeep statistical sampling out of the US Census. Justices rejected the planto use statistical sampling in the 2000 census by a five-to-four vote. Senator Grassley says the decision to stick with the current Censusmethods should help slow the loss of Iowa’s House seats to more urbanstates. Iowa may lose one of its five Congressional seats after next year’scensus.
