Republican Jim Lightfoot shelled out more money than hisopponent, but still lost the governor’s race. A new campaign finance reportshows Lightfoot spent 2-point-9-million dollars to Tom Vilsack’s 2-point-7million. For Vilsack, that translates to about five-dollars for every vote hegot, winning the governor’s race.
