WHEN A COACH SAYS HE IS WORRIED ABOUT GETTING HIS TEAM TO THE NATIONAL TOURNAMENT, THAT USUALLY MEANS THEY ARE WORRIED ABOUT QUALIFYING. FOR THE THE TOP-RANKED IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY HOCKEY TEAM IT’S NOT A MATTER OF QUALIFYING — BUT OF PAYING THEIR WAY TO THE THE NATIONAL INVIATIONAL HOCKEYCHAMPIONSHIPS. THE CLUB THE TEAM HAD TO CANCEL TWO HOME SERIES DUE TO MECHANICAL FAILURES AT THE AMES/I-S-U ICE ARENA, THAT ENDED UP COSTING THEMMONEY. COACH AL MURDOCH SAYS THE TEAM NEEDS TO RAISE TEN-THOUSAND DOLLARS TO MAKE THE TRIP. THE CLUB’S HOLDING A RAFFLE TO GENERATE THE FUNDS. FIRST IN THE TOURNAMENT. MURDOCH SAYS HE IS CONFIDENT THEY CAN RAISE THE MONEY NEEDED.
