HUNDREDS OF IOWA FARMERS WILL BE RUBBING ELBOWS WITH NATIONAL AG LEADERS AT IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY TODAY. STAN JOHNSON, VICE PROVOST OF EXTENSION ATI-S-U, SAYS THE NATIONAL FORUM FOR AGRICULTURE INCLUDES EXPERTS IN THE AG AND ENERGY INDUSTRIES, FROM LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENTS AND FROMUNIVERSITIES. JOHNSON SAYS ONE OF THE MAIN TOPICS WILL FOCUS ON THE IMPLICATIONS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON AGRICULTURE AND THE ENERGY INDUSTRY. HE SAYS THE FIRST PART OF THE PROGRAM WILL FOCUS ON REVIEWING THE SCIENCE BEHIND GLOBAL WARMING. THE CONFERENCE RUNS THROUGH TUESDAY AT I-S-U’S SCHEMAN BUILDING.
