THE IOWA STATE CYCLONES CLOSED OUT THE REGULAR SEASON WITH A 52-50 WIN OVER KANSAS IN HILTON COLESIUM. GUARD MICHAEL NURSE LED IOWA STATE WITH 14-POINTS AS THE CYCLONES HELD THE JAYHAWKS SCORELESS FOR A SEVEN-MINUTE STRETCH DURING THE SECOND HALF. MARCUS FIZER SCORED 13-POINTS AND HAULED DOWN FIVE REBOUNDS AND SAID IT WASA BIG VICTORY FOR THE CYCLONES.IOWA STATE PLAYS COLORADO ON THURSDAY IN KANSAS CITY TO OPEN THE BIG-12 TOURNAMENT. FIZER SAYS IT WILL BE A GREAT TOURNAMENT.
