Ethanol only bill shelved for this year

The measure to mandate ethanol-only at Iowa gas pumps will be passed next week by the Senate Natural Resources Committee, but Senate Republican Leader Stewart Iverson will send the bill to another committee, essentially blocking its passage. Iverson hopes the Iowa Corn Growers will collaborate with the petroleumindustry on a campaign to boost use of ethanol.
