Girls championship final set in 1A

Friday night’s class 1A championship matchup is set at the girls state basketball tournament. In the class 1A semifinals, top ranked and two-timedefending champion Lynnville-Sully rallied in the third quarter for a 54-42 win over fifth ranked Rockwell-Swaledale. Trailing 30-25, the Hawkettes went on a 15-1 run to take command. Also in 1A, 13th ranked IKM Manilla erased a ten point fourth quarter deficit to down 19th rated North Iowa 42-40 in overtime. Amy Meggers led IKM with 24-points. In class 2A, Steph Baker made two free throws with a minute-54 remaining to give West Marshall the lead for good in a 60-54 win over Mid-Prairie.
