Siox City couple survive Amtrack wreck

A Sioux City couple is back home after surviving the deadly Amtrak train wreck in Illinois. Rex and Joyce Carnes were on their way to New Orleans fora vacation when the accident happened. Joyce Carnes says they feel lucky to be alive as their car derailed but stayed upright. She says she was the accident startled her out of her sleep. Carnes says they were shaken up but able to walk off the train. Rex Carnes was treated for minor injuries and released. Joyce Carnes says they don’t fault Amtrak for what happened and would travel by train again.
