Legislators are setting up a process so the Governor can designate a statepoet. The House has passed a bill so that the Governor will appoint an Iowan whocan rhyme to be state poet laureate for a time. Representative RebeccaReynolds of Bonaparte sponsored the bill hailing poetry as an art.
