Cedar Rapids police investigate possible murder

Cedar Rapids police are investigating a suspicious death — that may be acase of murder. The body of 44-year-old Judith Weeks of Cedar Rapids wasdiscovered yesterday.Sergeant Mark Andries says the body was found in the back of a vacant houseby a passerby. Andries says the cause of death isn’t know.Because of the unknowns, Andries says the case is being treated as ahomicide. Anyone who saw or spoke with Weeks since Friday is asked to callthe Cedar Rapids police.
