ISU women’s assistant gets Ball State coaching job

Iowa State women’s assistant basketball coach Brenda Oldfield has been namedthe new head coach at Ball State University. Oldfield has been a part ofBill Fennelly’s staff the last four years and says she has mixed emotionsabout leaving.Oldfield says Ball State is similar to what the Cyclcone staff inheritedback in 1995.Fennelly says the hiring of Oldfield is a compliment to the Cyclone program.Oldfield is a native of Cedar Rapids and is the sister of Iowa State starStacy Frese.
