Injury forces Suzy Hamilton from the Drake Relays

Two-time Olympian Suzy Hamilton has withdrawn from this month’s Drake Relaysafter aggravating her left achilles on Sunday, an injury that forced her tomiss the world indoor championships earlier this year.Hamilton says she thought the injury was past her in the last week.Hamilton says it is difficult to be patient and take the time off needed toheal and says she will miss taking part in the Relays.The top ranked American in the 15-hundred, Hamilton was expected to make herthird straight appearance at Drake after being named the top femaleperformer last year in setting a new record in the 800.
