ISU changes offense back to option

Iowa State football coach Dan Mc-Carney says a new offensive scheme, betterdepth and a new quarterback are the higlights for his club as they head intothe spring game this weekend. The cyclones have thrown out the pro-setoffense and are going back to the option. Mc-Carney says that’s set up abattle between quarterbacks Derrick Walker and Sage Rosenfels.He says third string quarterback Ben Dougherty will see most of his time inSaturday’s game at linebacker. Mc-Carney says he has been a big surprise.McCarney says running back is the team’s strongest position.The squad will be split into a gold team of second and third team playerswho will be spotted 17 points against the first team players.
