Tim Dwight is ready to run for Iowa

Tim Dwight should make his return from the pro football world to collegetrack this weekend in a meet in Walnut, California. Dwight was scheduled torun this past weekend with the Iowa Hawkeyes track team but pulled out aftercramping up in warm ups. Dwight played with the Atlanta Falcons –including a Superbowl appearance — in his rookie season last fall. He hadto get clearance to compete after the N-C-A-A questioned some of hisendorsements.Dwight says his case may help change the rules.He says he is giving up some opportunities to make money to run track.Dwight says it is tough because everything has changed since he played inthe Superbowl and returned a kickoff for a touchdown.Dwight has lost nine pounds since the football season and he says thatshould help him run faster.
