Some plants in danger from cold temps

Some northern Iowans may wake up to a dusting of snow this morning, whilemany more people statewide will see the falling flakes later today ortonight. Despite the unseasonable forecast, one plant expert says there’slittle reason for homeowners to worry about their budding flowers.Richard Jauron is a horticulturist at Iowa State University Extension. Hesays there are some plants that could be harmed by the low temperatures.Jauron says the magnolias could also be threatened.The forecast calls for at least a chance of snow each day today throughSaturday.
