Bomb threat clears Ames High School

Ames High School is the latest facility in the state targeted by a bombthreat. Ames Police spokesman Sergeant Randy Kessell says the school’sattendance office took the threat about 9 a-m today & the school wasevacuated.Yesterday marked one week since the Colorado shootings & bombings that left14 students and a teacher dead. Sergeant Kessell says with all the otherbomb scares across Iowa, he’s not surprised Ames made the list.Students were allowed to return to the gymnasium but classes were later cancelled for the day. Ironically, ayouth violence forum is planned for tonight at Ames High.
