Today is the deadline to file your Iowa income taxes. Iowa Department ofRevenue and Finance spokeswoman Renee Mulvey says getting an extension onyour Iowa taxes is different from the federal tax system. All you need to dois pay ninety percent of your taxes and you get an automatic extension.Mulvey says the best thing to do is to file your forms even if you can’t payall the tax at this time because the penalty increases if you wait.Mulvey says a majority of the expected one-point-three-million Iowa forms arealready in with only about 100-thousand forms still to be filed.
