Girls state track meet opens with record

The Girls State High School Track meet opened this afternoon with a newrecord. Marshalltown won the class 3A distance medley relay and posted anall-time Iowa best time of four-minutes four point-one-two seconds. JessicaHuff anchored Marshalltown with an 800 and says she knew she was running fora record.Huff says setting a record adds even more to the victory.Mandy Pins anchored Dyersville Beckman to the win in the class 2A distancemedley and says they have a goal of winning the team title.
