Man charged in Fort Dodge church fire

A 31 year-old Fort Dodge man was arrested Friday afternoon by authoritiesafter allegedly setting the fire which destroyed the St. Paul’s LutheranChurch in Fort Dodge. Kevin William Beck allegedly broke into a preschoolclassroom adjacent to the 133-year old church after a night of drinking. Hethen used materials inside the church to set the fire. Fingerprints on awindow led investigators to Beck. The church was destroyed by the fire onMay 13th.
