Bowell concerned about Chinese spies

May 26, 1999 By admin

The only Iowa democrat in Congress says he’s “very concerned” about Chineseespionage. Congressman Leonard Boswell says the Clinton Administrationshould take immediate steps to shut the door on Chinese agents.Boswell stopped short of pointing fingers at Clinton Adminsitrationofficials and calling for resignations. Boswell, a democrat from DavisCity, is quick to point out the espionage started in the 1970s — andoccured during the Reagan and Bush administrations, too.Boswell hasn’t read the entire Cox report outlining the Chinese spying.
