Boys chase track crowns

The Boys State High School track meet opens today in Drake stadium.Washington is the defending class 3A champion and coach Steve Roth says theywould like to win it again.Roth says being the defending champion does add some pressure.In class 4A, Ames finished second to West Des Moines Valley last year. Amescoach John Sletten says the race to the team title will be unpredictable.Sletten says Valley is likely the favorite.
