Gas pipeline construction moving across Iowa

Alliance Pipeline Corporation officials say construction is now fullyunderway on an 18-hundred mile long natural gas pipeline that’ll run fromCanada through Iowa to Chicago. Jay Godfrey is company spokesman and saysmany work hours are being put into the project in northern & eastern Iowa.Godfrey says the project has made great strides since its initial planningstages, adding, it’s no longer a paper pipeline.He says the company appreciates the cooperation of those Iowans who’redirectly effected by the pipeline.The pipeline will run through 11 northern and eastern Iowa Counties. Itshould be complete in October of 2000.
