UNI students help Kosovars

University of Northern Iowa students who took a class on how to “ThinkGlobally, Act Locally” have taken local action to help refugees fleeing fromwartorn Kosovo. The 15 students collected more than 11-thousand dollars indonations. Susan Koch, U-N-I assistant vice president for academic affairs,says the program called “Kits for Kosovo” also collected items sent in carepackages, things like soap, towels, bandaids and ointment. Koch says thegoods are on the way. Koch is proud of the response from the Universitycommunity. The effort was part of a national “Kits for Kosovo” campaign.
