ACT expands its testing ability

The Iowa company known for its college entrance exams is expanding itsscope of testing and training. A-C-T Incorporated of Iowa City is teamingwith a Dallas based information services company to create centersnationwide for electronic testing and training. Spokesman Ken Gullette saysthey’ll do a variety of testing.Gullette says the low national unemployment rate has increased the demandfor skill specific training. He says A-C-T will fill that need.One-point-eight million students take the A-C-T college admissions andplacement tests each year. Those tests have brought A-C-T a lot ofrecognition, but Gullette says the company has other areas of expertise. Gullette says the new centers will provide the latest in computer testingand training available.
