Grassley backs bill to increase protection for farmers

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley has introduced what he calls a bi-partisian billthat would provide farmers assistance through a federal trade law. Grassleysays the bill would help farmers when they are hurt by international tradeby amending the trade act of 1974. Grassley says pork producers would’ve been the biggest beneficiaries of themove over the last five years.Grassley chairs the senate international trade subcommittee.
