Lightning victims identified as Iowans

Two victims of a lightning strike in the Quad Cities have been identified.The Rock Island County Coroner’s office identified the two as 37-year oldMichael Betner and 36-year old Tracy Towher, both of Davenport. The twowere fishing under a tree on the Mississippi River near Milan, Illinois whenthey were hit by the lightning. Betner died when hit, while Towher diedlater at the hospital.
