Take precautions before leaving on vacation

Don’t forget to take a few precautions to make your home safe before youleave on a summer vacation. Mason City police sergeant A.J. Gilbert saysthe first thing to do is to make an agreement to have your neighbors keep aneye on your home.Gilbert says to have someone pick up newspapers or have delivery stoppedwhile you’re gone. He says home alarm systems are getting more reliable.Gilbert says the alarm systems used to be plagued by false alarms, butbetter technology is making them better.
