Cerro Gordo Sups vote against state amendments

The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors today voted in favor of aresolution stating opposition to two amendments to the state constitution.Supervisor Bob Ermer of Rockwell was one of two supervisors voting for theresolution. Ermer says he is worried the amendments will hurt counties ifthe state falls on tough times.Ermer is also president-elect of the Iowa State Association of Counties,which is against the amendments. One other supervisor voted for theresolution, while the other obstained saying he wasn’t sure if thesupervisors should be voting on the issue.
