Bradley talks of reducing poverty

Democrat presidential candidate Bill Bradley is visiting the Boys and GirlsClubs of Iowa today during an afternoon stop in Cedar Rapids. Bradley sayssuch private sector efforts are necessary to help reduce poverty in America.During the past week, Bradley has begun talking about reducing the number ofU.S. children who live in poverty.Former President Lyndon Johnson had a vision of a “Great Society” in whichpoverty would be eliminated. Bradley says now is an appropriate time torevisit the issue.Bradley made an earlier campaign stop today in Anamosa.
