Dowling back wants to be a cornhusker

West Des Moines Dowling running back DeWayne Long has announced he intendsto play college football at Nebraska. Long says he first became interestedin the Huskers when he attended football camp there prior to his juniorseason and the tradition of the program was a big selling point.Last season Long was a fullback on the Dowling team which finished as therunner-up in class 4A and says the position he will play at Nebraska has yetto be determined.Long says with his college choice out of the way he can focus on his senioryear.Long also considered Notre Dame, Purdue, Kansas State and Iowa.
