Cancer society says not enough sunscreen being used

A study by the American Cancer Society says kids may be exposing themselvesto skin cancer more often than we think. A spokeswoman for the Iowa chapterof the American Cancer Society, Penny Schramm, says it’s not what the kidsare doing that’s putting them in danger…it’s what they AREN’T doing,keeping on enough sunscreen.Schramm says sunscreen needs to be applied more often if your kids arereally active.Schramm says studies show skin cancer is one of the most preventable types ofcancer. She says even turning a light shade of pink is doing damage to yourskin.Schramm advises using sunscreen with an S-P-F of fifteen or higher beapplied every day, summer and winter, to everyone over the age of sixmonths.
