Starting October 1st, Iowa travelers will have another airline option — adirect Des Moines to Atlanta flight — on “Atlantic Southeast Airlines.” It’s one of Delta Airline’s regional carriers. Des Moines InternationalAirport marketing director Michael Audino (aw-deen-oh) says it’s good newsfor both business and leisure travelers.Audino says there will be three, round-trip flights between Des Moines andAtlanta each day on 50-seater jets. Audino says the non-stop service to Atlanta will be attractive toInternational travelers, too. Both of Iowa’s U.S. Senators are lauding the Delta decision, saying it willprovide more competition and perhaps lower ticket prices out of Des Moines.
